We’ve had two calls for Judith Kerr’s classic, The Tiger Who Came to Tea.
We’d put this up as our sons favourite too. He can’t read as he’s only two but when he ‘reads’ (ie picks up a book, turns the pages and talks) he always starts, no matter what the pictures are telling him, ‘Once upon a time there was a little girl called Sophie having tea in the kitchen with her mummy. And then a tiger came to tea.’
A real classic, thank you to Catriona and Charlie for this recommendation.
